The State of Florida addressed bad publicity of several Europeans being killed during a violent car jackings. The tourist were a prime targets for violent crimes because they were unarmed and carried large sums of money. Stealing the rental car was just a quick getaway bonus.
How did Florida stop these violent crimes for happening...?? Not more police... Not banning guns.. Not magazine size... Not banning assualt weapons... Not having background checks, Not restricting guns rights, but making guns more widely available to law abiding citizens!
Florida started it off in 1987 with a dramatic increase in Shall Issue Concealed Carry Permits. Florida saw that the issuance of Concealed Carry Permits actually reduced violent crime and murder rates. Other States followed with more and more states adopting Shall Issue Concealed Carry for its responsible, law abiding citizens.
The one thing has changed from 1992 to present that would have a direct impact on violent crime and murder rates and that change is the dramatic increase in Shall Issue Concealed Carry Permits!

The news media does not like to give credit to those honest law abiding citizens who are prepared to defend themselves. The simple fact that there are 47 states which now allow for concealed carry across state lines, which means a peaceful trip from tourist from another state!
Criminals are even more deterred from picking tourist to prey on, not knowing if they are packing heat. Notice the Violent crime rates have dropped by 50%, even with so many people carrying guns. The Constitution 2nd Amendment right "shall not be infringed" means no need for these jackass politicians or idiot government bureaucrat.
Not So Great Britain… Should arm their women to help quell their abusive partners . WHILE MILLIONS MORE GUNS have been manufactured and distributed into the hands of US citizens each year, violence has declined!
Our violent crime rate would be EVEN SMALLER if we did not suffer from the lunatics in office who enact strict gun control in our big cities, causing murder rates to exceed bona fide war zones!
